Because Love Is

Because love is about the length of a wild promise

Cast in stardust and determination

Climbing up a mountain peak

And then braided into infinity.

Because love is dreams running a marathon

Over continents tied together by anticipation

And hoping for more than it might deliver

Because love is a gale of time travel and exploration

Plus the speed of chance across a gauzy grey sky

We must carefully layer it with affectionate strokes.
