She saw the murky road in the distance
A long stretch of dare marbled with mystery,
Her lungs clenched as she clutched her pearls,
The air, charged with fear and worry, taunted her
But her pearls were charged with power and a cultivated intention.
She would not be moved, she would never be moved again
By anything she couldn’t control.
It had to go around her, above her, through her without
diminishing her.
She straightened and spread her warrior wings
And drank in a cocktail of pure defiance
The dream reaching for her was beyond the dust
And she was never going to be someone who shrugged off destiny,
So she lifted her whole being and flew into forever.
Nice!
Thank you!
