She side-eyed Love with amusement and suspicion
The love stuff had been too much
Scary, complicated, exhausting.
And Love, patient as ever, served her tea in a cozy den
Waiting her out.
It wasn’t what she expected, but pleasant still.
Stoking the fire, Love swept cobwebs off romances past
Adorning her with glimpses of romances future
Now infusing hope into her heart breath by breath.
The words were whispered, but roared like a symphony
Love is a leap from nowhere to somewhere
And whether you leap forward, backward or sideways,
It’s okay to just love.
