Honest Exits

His voice draped her like silk charmeuse

and she couldn’t hear the subtle notes of her own tapestry

His hypnotic gaze cast a blinding halo

and she couldn’t see her own stardust

His touch was her skin remembering the summer Caribbean sea

and she couldn’t feel the depth of her own ocean

When she dared question his dizzying influence, he said this:

In relationships, there is always a Grabber (onto) and a Reacher, and I am the Reacher

And she said this:

If I am to be your subject, I will still need my own throne
