Pluck the Pearl You See

“If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.”  —Vincent Van Gogh

It’s a better story to say you tried than you didn’t. To dive into the river of possibility from wherever you are and pluck the pearl you see. To do you unapologetically. If you must protect your pearl from naysayers until the dream comes true, plod along in earnest like Secret Squirrel. Just don’t give up. Ever. Short of having “believe” tattooed on your forehead, hypnotize yourself each morning to run towards the thing that brings you most alive. I am a storyteller. Who are you?

  1. I love this! I also feel like a story teller, and there are days I wonder “what’s the point?” But it’s what I think about all day, what makes me not notice time passing, what brings me energy. Can’t forget the importance of expression
